Following extensive research and consultation, I am very proud to unveil the final result of that process.
The TTG Travel Awards have a new name and a new look, and for the first time will honour the very best of our industry – both suppliers and agents – at the same event.
Shortlisted companies and individuals will have to impress expert judging panels from the worlds of travel, retail and commerce, and suppliers will also require the support of the trade through a stringent and fair agent voting process.
In an industry with a plethora of awards ceremonies and a never-ending stream of categories, it was our aim to establish the TTG Travel Awards as the universal benchmark of quality and an honour recognised by both the trade and consumers.
With a streamlined list of awards and the most robust process in the industry, I am confident we have achieved that aim.
Not only will the winners have the opportunity to celebrate on the night itself, but they will also benefit from editorial and PR opportunities over the following 12 months.
Never one to rest on our laurels, and reflecting a positive response and interest from the companies we have consulted, we have also decided to take the awards to a new venue.
After two memorable years at London’s Old Billingsgate Market, the TTG Travel Awards will this year take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane on Wednesday, September 10.
And what a party it is set to be. Having seen the plans in store from the dedicated team behind a string of first-class trade awards ceremonies, I can promise you it will truly be a night not to be missed.
